Navigation
iLink
i-linc™ provides instant navigational information such as airports, VORs, NDBs, airspace, terrain, and bodies of water, all on one screen. By using digital vector-based technology instead of scanned paper charts, i-linc™ allows text and navigational data to be read at all zoom levels.
Flight Planning
i-linc™ provides a large, easy to read presentation of your active flight plan. Obtained from the external GPS navigator, the flight plan is presented with individual leg distances, bearings, waypoint types, and current waypoint information. The current leg is highlighted in the flight plan leg list, and an information pointer can be moved to any specific waypoint in the leg. Pressing the Info smart key will provide additional information about the highlighted waypoint, including frequencies and airport layout diagrams. Runway diagrams can be oriented in the same track-up fashion as the primary map, giving true 'out the window' representation of the airport layout. Ground speed, track, and current Lat/Lon are also presented for completeness.

VFR Chart
iLink VFR
i-linc™ creates a sectional chart very similar to the paper chart. At the touch of a button, i-linc™ provides instant access to a high-resolution, vector-based chart with common navigational information such as airports, VORs, NDBs, airspace, terrain, and bodies of water. Digital vector based technology is used instead of scanned paper charts, allowing text and navigational data to be read at all zoom levels, not just one. Auto de-cluttering removes smaller airports and adjusts the icon symbology when zooming out. Zooming in progressively adds details, right down to the dashed centerlines on runways. Manual de-cluttering is also supported, removing all labels with a single key. Another important feature is that the VFR Map function supports track up mode while maintaining proper orientation of labels and text. The current flight plan can be overlaid on the map, and viewing modes of track up, track up arc, track up 360, desired track up, and north up are all supported.
IFR Chart
The IFR Map Function creates an IFR enroute chart very similar to a traditional paper chart. i-linc™ provides instant access to a high-resolution, vector-based chart with common navigational information such as airports, VORs, NDBs, airspace, terrain, and bodies of water. Digital vector based technology is used instead of scanned charts, allowing text and navigational data to be read at all zoom levels, not just one. Auto de-cluttering removes smaller airports and adjusts the icon symbology when zooming in/out. Zooming in progressively adds details, right down to the dashed centerlines on runways. Manual de-cluttering is also supported, removing all labels with a single key.

Traffic Interface
iLink Traffic
By pairing the L-3 i-linc™ multi-function display with SkyWatch® or SkyWatch® HP, you get a clear picture of what's coming your way, so you can avoid any close encounters. Both cost-effective systems are designed to monitor the airspace around your aircraft and indicate where to look for nearby transponder-equipped aircraft that may pose a collision threat. SkyWatch® will display potential traffic conflicts out to 11 nmi, while SkyWatch® HP will display out to 35 nmi. Both systems will overlay threatening aircraft on either i-linc custom map or dedicated page view screen. Additionally, both systems will power multiple displays.
Terrain Interface
The flexible i-linc™ system ships standard with a terrain mapping function, helping pilots to avoid the number one cause of aviation related accidents. The system can also be configured with L-3's LandMark™ Terrain Awareness Warning System. The LandMark™ Class B system satisfies the FAA's TAWS Mandate for part 135 and part 91 turbine-powered aircraft, while also providing warnings for premature descent, excessive descent rates, and depicting land based obstacles and runways. Providing a continuous, color, "birds-eye" view of the terrain surrounding your aircraft's position, LandMark™ issues both aural and visual warnings whenever potential controlled-flight-into-terrain (CFIT) situations arise.

Lightning Interface
iLink Lightning
The Stormscope® model WX-500 from L-3 will display lightning directly on the i-linc™ display out to 200 miles, either on a dedicated page or overlaid on the custom map. The WX-500 also allows you to toggle between 200, 100, 50, and 25 nmi, as well as Cell and Strike modes.
Radar Interface
i-linc™ is also available in a Digital Weather Radar Display model, replacing your aging radar indicator while providing an enhanced radar picture and conserving panel space. The i-linc™ Radar version supports an interface for the AlliedSignal/Bendix King ART 2000 weather radar, with future digital radar interfaces planned.

Jeppesen Chart View
iLink Chart
Jeppesen Chart View
Familiar Jeppesen instrument approach charts and airport-surface diagrams are viewed with the aircraft position overlaid on the i-linc™'s high-resolution color display. Additionally, Chart View displays Standard Instrument Arrival and Departure charts (SIDs and STARs). On departure, the i-linc™ with Chart View displays the airport surface map, including all runways and taxiways. After takeoff, the i-linc™ automatically transitions to the enroute chart which depicts airways, airspace, terrain, navaids, rivers, lakes, and highways. Within the terminal area of the destination airport, the i-linc&trade transitions to the selected instrument approach plate - complete with procedure turns and holding patterns. Once the aircraft has approached the runway and ground speed has slowed to 50 knots, the aircraft symbol is displayed on a moving map of the airport surface.
