CMax™
Electronic Charts
option offers a worldwide library of geo-referenced approach charts
and airport diagrams, helping you manage and access critical flight
information and reducing the amount of paper required on board
your aircraft.
Utilizing
the TAS600 with
Ryan Active Surveillance (RAS) technology, the MHAS6000
provides the most advanced collision-avoidance protection available.
The active-surveillance TAS600 systems actively search for and
interrogate other aircraft providing full-time collision avoidance
protection even outside radar coverage areas. With three models
to choose from, the TAS600 series allows you to select the traffic
system that best suits your needs. The TAS600 provides affordable
collision avoidance for single- engine piston aircraft, the TAS610
is recommended for mid-performance aircraft and rotorcraft. Our
TAS620 is designed for high-performance aircraft and rotorcraft.
All TAS600 Series traffic systems include patented dual-directional
antennas and industry-exclusive
Heads-Up Audible Position Alerting™, which
tells you where to look. TRAFFIC!
ONE O'CLOCK! HIGH TWO MILES!
Heads-Up
Audible Position Alerting™
When
a traffic conflict is imminent, pilots need the right information
in real time. First-generation traffic systems only provide a
“Traffic Traffic” audible alert, which then requires
the pilot to look down at the display to locate the relative bearing
and distance of the intruder aircraft before looking out the window.
Avidyne’s exclusive Heads-Up Audible Position Alerting™
verbally indicates the conflicting aircraft’s bearing, range
and relative altitude for rapid visual acquisition of traffic.
This automated voice alert uses the same alert terminology as
Air Traffic Control. This type of alert provides the data a pilot
needs to keep his attention focused outside the cockpit, scanning
for oncoming traffic.
Terrain
The EX500/EX5000 makes it easy to see and avoid terrain hazards.
With its color-contoured topographic terrain and water base map
and North American database containing towers and other obstacles
greater than 200'AGL, the EX500/EX5000 presents a clear presentation
of terrain hazards. The nearest obstacle feature makes it easy
to determine the height and proximity of nearby towers as you
descend into any unfamiliar areas. In addition, the EX500/EX500
has the ability to interface with all the popular Enhanced Ground
Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS) for optimum terrain awareness
and alerting.
Weather
For staying out of harms way in inclement weather, the EX500/EX5000’s
exclusive MultiLink capability provides real-time XM WX datalink
weather updates, as well as the ability to stay in touch via two-way
text messaging and flight tracking. XM weather data includes NEXRAD,
graphical and textual METAR's, AIRMET's, SIGMET's, and Lightning
from the National Lightning Detection Network. The EX500/EX5000
also interfaces with the WX500 Stormscope for on-board lightning
detection. With the ability to interface to any of 19 different
radar systems, the EX500/EX5000 offers the most radar interface
choices, and typically means you can add all the safety benefits
of the MHAS6000 system, without the added expense of replacing
your existing radar RT.
